JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
Position: Public Health Nurse – Immunizations – Time Limited – Non-Benefitted Position
Public Health Nurse I – $29.40 – $33.81 per hour
Public Health Nurse II – $31.51 – $36.24 per hour
Depends on education and experience.
Summary:
This is a position for a Registered Nurse working with immunizations in Provo and at satellite clinics throughout Utah County.
This position operates in a professional environment and routinely uses standard medical and office equipment. Work may expose the incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; therefore, certain immunizations are required.
Duties and Abilities include:
Administering Immunizations;
Counseling for Immunizations;
Blood draws;
Metabolic Screening tests;
Compliance with HIPAA regulations;
Communicating effectively and professionally;
Entering data or searching for patient records in electronic medical records;
Maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public;
Working in off-site clinics as assigned; and
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience – Public Health Nurse II
1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
OR
2. Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of work experience as a registered nurse.
Required Education and Experience – Public Health Nurse I
1. Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Applicants must possess a current registered nursing license for the State of Utah Applicants must possess a valid Utah driver’s license or obtain a valid State of Utah driver’s license within sixty (60) days of employment. The selected applicant will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
