Performs a variety of entry level certified or non-certified duties related to the security, safety, order, operation and maintenance of county jail facilities including detention and monitoring of inmates.

Full-Time, with Benefits

Corrections Trainees start at $26.00 per hour, increase to $29.00 per hour once certified (typically within the first 8-12 months of employment)

Certified Officers (Laterals) start at $29.00 per hour (Utah POST (Peace Officer Standards Training): SFO (Special Functions Officer) and BCO (Basic Correctional Officer).

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from High School or GED.
Must be at least 19 years of age by 11/07/2024.
Candidates MUST attend ONE of the Testing and Interview Days to be considered. Dates will be announced once the job posting has closed.

PT Requirements:

Run 1.5 miles in 16:11, 14 push-ups (continuous exercise), hold a plank position for 30 seconds (replaces sit-up requirement)
