If you are a people person and want to make a difference in your community. The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill a Contracts Owner/Policy Specialist position within the Refugee Services Office Division (RSO).

The Contracts Owner/Policy Specialist develops and modifies policy and procedures, coordinates contract related duties, provides technical support to contractors and compiles required state and federal reports. Employees typically perform activities which may include:

Working closely with internal DWS staff, partners and refugee providers to make optimal use of resources available to assist refugees.
Managing several refugee related projects, including but not limited to the Humanitarian Center employment program, data-sharing agreements, Housing contracts, English as a Second Language (ESL) and other Employment and training related contracts.
Assisting in the implementation, on-going monitoring and improvement of refugee services contracts and service delivery.
Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the management of the Refugee Services Office.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will have:Experience working with contracts and grants.
Experience working with refugee and community providers.

May be filled as a 2-year career mobility if an internal DWS applicant is selected.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
