JJS Office Specialist I

Principal DutiesWorking with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
Providing customer service when clients, family or community partners come in
Attending meetings and take minutes
Performing data entry
Coordinate meetings, trainings and JJS events
Providing administrative support
Working with families and youth
Purchasing
General office cleaning
Maintaining schedules
Answering multi-line phones
Prepare and process documents
Maintain files and record keeping systems
Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing.
Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally.
The Ideal CandidateWorks independently and is able to use sound judgment.
Organized and has the ability to multi-task
Professional, responsible, friendly and able to work in a Juvenile Justice setting.
Has general knowledge of office equipment.

Preference
May be given to candidates who have advanced office skills or comprehensive knowledge of rules, regulations and policies within Juvenile Justice.

May be given to candidates who are 19+ years of age
