This is a statewide supervisory position. The Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCT) Supervisor is responsible for the direct daily supervision of Licensed Clinical Therapists as they conduct clinical evaluations, interpret medical and psychological findings, perform short-term therapy, complete clinical case management, broker services, and follow-up on recommended therapy. This position is responsible to assure that the duties of staff are within their assigned responsibilities/scope of practice and are provided in a professional and effective manner. Compiles outcome measures and reports for the Licensed Clinical Therapist Program. May provide oversight of the mental health contracts and billing statewide. This position is within the Workforce Development Division and is responsible for effectively coordinating services with the Department of Workforce Services administrative entities and Economic Service Area management. Serves as a consultant, diagnostician and resource person to administrative and professional staff. Completes case audits and provides feedback to staff on areas of improvement. Conducts in service training as needed. Prepares case histories and social summaries and submits case progress to appropriate personnel. May plan and manage projects and/or programs. May facilitate the use of research data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources.
Principal Duties
The LCT Supervisor duties will include:
Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
Facilitates the use of research data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources.
Identifies problems or potential problem areas and recommends solutions.
Delivers presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public.
Acts as a facilitator in problem solving situations; provides information to those seeking assistance and suggests alternatives/solutions and assists others in solving problems.
Acts as a resource for management and staff; provides technical support within area of responsibility.
Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and other written materials.
Analyzes, summarizes and reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
Manages accounting or budget activities and provides fiscal information, when applicable.
Reviews and inspects work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Conducts mental health evaluations and provides individual, family, or group therapy sessions in accordance with the established treatment plan and provides crisis intervention, when necessary.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
Acts as an expert witness, when deemed appropriate. Gives testimony or recommendations in court cases or hearings.
Plans and manages projects and/or programs. Writes project/program plans, recommendations or findings.
Supervises volunteers, interns, students, seasonal staff or clients/inmates/patients, etc. Includes: hiring, termination, training, scheduling, delegating, monitoring and reviewing work.
Answers technical questions regarding data, trends or results from studies.
Reconciles contracts and/or final billing to ensure accuracy.
Monitors agency contract services; implements controls and standards to monitor the processing and review of contracts.
Completes case audits and provides feedback and support to staff.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:A license as a Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
A minimum of two years general supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google.
The willingness to travel within Utah.
