Job Description
The Utah State Tax Commission’s Taxpayer Services Division in Provo is currently looking for a Taxpayer Services Technician Part time – Front Counter Help. If you are looking for a part time, non benefited position please submit your application.

All positions require passing a FBI background check prior to starting with the Tax Commission.

The ideal candidate will perform the following duties:

Assist customers with Tax Commission license applications, business and income tax filings, and payments
Maintain cash funds, record credit card usage and balance cash drawer daily
Secure all documents and checks/case at the end of the day
Scan documents
Assist co-workers in processing payments or documents
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills. This position may not work more than 29 hours per week.

Salary
The starting salary for this position is $13.48 hourly.

Working Conditions

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc..
Physical RequirementsTypically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work..
SalarySalary will start at $13.48 /hour.
Other RequirementsPersonal tax filings and vehicle registrations must be current and complete.
A conditional offer of employment will be made pending a satisfactory completion of a FBI level background investigation.
