The Utah State Hospital is seeking a Diet Technician. Diet Technicians at the Utah State hospital work to assist our dietitians in providing nutritional care.

Responsibilities
 

Maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information.
Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
Reviews patient charts and follows individual treatment plans, encourages and assists patients in completing scheduled treatment activities and goals.
Monitors and observes patients; records and reports patient’s/client’s conditions, progress, behaviors, activity, etc.
Ensures that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures. Covers and stores leftover food, records serving temperatures and leftover quantities.

Supplemental Information
 

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
Department of Human Resource Management rules and DHHS policies regarding promotions and transfers apply to current employees.
