Incumbents design, formulate, prepare, process, and coordinate contracts and grants at a state or department level or for a complex function. This is a senior or supervisory level job in which incumbents provide technical assistance and expert consultation on grants and contracts. Technical assistance includes reviewing federal, state, department and/or division requirements and ensuring compliance with those requirements. Other duties include monitoring and analyzing the performance of contractors, and ensuring proper fiscal control. Tier 2 Hybrid Retirement System. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary between both plans (pension and 401(k))Tier 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary to a 401(k) plan only. Employer contributions to your 401(k) are vested after four years. Paid Time Off: Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick).Annual leave amounts increase with years of service. We have 12 paid holidays.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Writes, reviews, and/or negotiates grants, contracts and/or agreements.Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.Ensures all required aspects of the contract are completed according to specifications and to contract requirements.Reviews fiscal operations to ensure integrity, accuracy and control of data.Provides technical assistance and contract interpretation to contractors.Meets and confers with management, users, and contract providers to resolve problems and coordinate services.Monitors agency or program budget including revenues, expenditures and budget projection, etc.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
