Are you looking for a great part time office position that performs a wide range of tasks? If you have strong keyboarding, data entry and word processing and great people skills then The Division of Technology Services (DTS) is looking for you as their new Office Technician II.

This position provides the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications; locates, researches, and assembles records and information. Files and retrieves documents in accordance with agency procedures. Perform other duties as assigned for the Administration group.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of multi-line phone systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and be able to type emails, letters and memo’s. The candidate must also be able to to multi task and perform a variety of administrative tasks as assigned.

Example of Duties
 

Primary Duties:
Greet Visitors/ check them in at Taylorsville State Office Building
Hours are 8-5 Tuesday through Friday
Answer the State of Utah Capitol Operator phone line
Answer the DTS main line
Schedule conference rooms, check out equipment and keep multiple calendars
Order/Inventory/Receive supplies
Opening and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
Perform support duties to Administration staff

deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
operate office equipment
principles, practices, and procedures of an office environment

Supplemental Information
 

Employment contingent on passing a drug screening and a background check.
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
