Need a flexible work schedule where you can set your own hours with only 40% in-office? Are you looking for a new challenge in a team-oriented office environment? If so, the Utah State Board of Education is looking for a hardworking, organized individual to fill a Office Specialist II position. If selected you will work within the Educator Licensing Team of Teaching and Learning. As an Office Specialist II at USBE, you will provide support for educators, staff, and educational programs that directly impact the students of this great state.
As an Office Specialist II at USBE, you may perform some or all of the following duties:
Receive calls and visitors, relay messages, provide information.
Maintain files and databases.
Prepare and/or process documents.
Provide administrative support to specialists, coordinators and other staff.
Maintain calendars, plan and assist with events, conferences, etc.
Write or draft correspondence, newsletters, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for an Office Specialist has:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability and willingness to adapt to new technologies and take initiative.
Exceptional office support skills.
Skills using various computer applications and databases.
Experience providing administrative support to staff.
The ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders.

This position is Half-Time (20 hours per week)
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
