Job Title: Support Services Coordinator II
Location: Taylorsville, Utah

Job Description:
The Department of Agriculture and Food is seeking a qualified candidate who can work independently and accurately to fill the role of Support Services Coordinator II. This position will assist the agency in a variety of administrative responsibilities.

Principal Duties:

Oversee accuracy of contract tracking system; monitor and improve as needed.
Develop and/or interpret fiscal statements and reports.
Data entry and reconciliations.
Review of financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate office management services.
Make recommendations for solutions of administrative problems.
Ideal Candidate:
Have an understanding of account reconciliation.
Be able to accurately enter data.
Be able to communicate information and ideas clearly.
Be able to apply laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures.
Preference:
May be given to candidates with at least three years of work experience in a clerical support capacity and contract management.

Example of Duties
 

Manages accounting or budget activities and provides fiscal information.
Monitors agency or program budget including revenues, expenditures and budget projection, etc.
Oversees accuracy of contract tracking system; monitor and improve as needed.
Develops and/or interprets fiscal statements and reports.
Generates and monitors work orders, service contracts, etc.
Coordinates and/or manages support services such as: telecommunications, motor pool, physical security, facility and grounds, mail processing, equipment relocation, warehouse storage, etc.
Reviews customer billings for accuracy; approves changes or refunds; reviews and approves vendor billings; reviews and approves payables.
Obtains, documents, and tabulates quotes on items covered by existing contracts.
Writes, reviews, and/or negotiates grants, contracts and/or agreements.
Meets and confers with management, users, and contract providers to resolve problems and coordinate services.
Coordinates an inventory management system to effectively control and distribute supplies and equipment.
Processes payroll actions in a state agency or the Division of Finance.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
