What You’ll Do:Operate and maintain complex heating and air conditioning systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and optimize equipment performance.
Handle installation, troubleshooting, and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Apply your welding, soldering, and fabrication skills to keep Camp Williams running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For:Expertise in Direct Digital Control Systems and HVAC equipment at the Journeyman or apprentice level.
Skills in electrical system maintenance, plumbing, and blueprint interpretation.
A Universal CFC Certification and experience with boilers, chillers, or energy management systems are highly valued but willing to accept 2-4 year apprentices.

The Agency

Health Insurance – Public Employee Health Program (PEHP):3 medical plan options. Choose a Traditional or High Deductible Health Plan. There is an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those who have other medical insurance coverage.
5 dental plan options, with an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those that have other dental insurance coverage.
4 vision plan options under EyeMed or OptiCare

Retirement – Utah Retirement Systems (URS):Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in the Tier I Public Employees System.
Employees hired on or after 7/1/2011 and who have never been in the URS retirement system have two options for retirement in the Tier II System.Tier 2 Hybrid Retirement System. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary between both plans (pension and 401(k))
Tier 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary to a 401(k) plan only.
Employer contributions to your 401(k) are vested after four years.

Paid Time Off:Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick).
Annual leave amounts increase with years of service.
We have 12 paid holidays.
 

Responsibilities
Some of the other more specific major duties will include:

a) Preventative maintenance of the various systems.
b) Installing parts, equipment, lines, hardware or software, etc.; troubleshoots and making adjustments to optimize initial performance.
c) Evacuate and recharge air conditioning systems.
d) Performing related plumbing, mechanical, painting and pipe fitting, etc., duties.
e) Welding, soldering, brazing, grinding, and/or fabricating various materials.
f) Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems and making appropriate adjustments.
g) Maintaining accurate records and logs.
Qualifications
In addition to the above-mentioned skill and knowledge, we would like to fill this position with a candidate that possesses the following:

Working knowledge of Direct Digital Control Systems.
Heating and air conditioning equipment operation and maintenance.
Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
Welding methods and techniques
Plumbing techniques and methodology
Draw maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints, and/or electrical schematics
Read and interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints, and/or electrical schematics
 

Supplemental Information
 

Some travel within the State of Utah may be required.
Risks that require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, etc.
Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
May be required to provide 24-hour on-call services.
