Do you have experience administering information systems? Are you familiar with emergency medical or similar response operations? If this is you, then apply now to become our next Preparedness Systems Coordinator working with the Office of Preparedness and Response (OPR). As our Preparedness Systems Coordinator you will be responsible to administer online systems and processes that support emergency communication and information sharing between local, state, and federal partners during a public health or medical response to a disaster.
OPR works to ensure the public health and healthcare systems are prepared for major or acute threats and emergencies that would impact the health of Utah’s citizens. Our efforts are supported by federal funding through the ASPR Hospital Preparedness Program and CDC Public Health Emergency Preparedness cooperative agreements. OPR collaborates with local partners to enhance local preparedness and response capabilities and develop resilient public health and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
As our Preparedness Systems Coordinator you will:
Configure, support, audit, and troubleshoot various information systems.
Maintaining knowledge of the capabilities of various information systems.
Develop processes and document procedures to effectively leverage these during a disaster response.
Promote, onboard, and train local public health departments and healthcare organizations to implement systems.
Conduct drills and exercises to test preparedness systems capabilities and procedures.
Incorporate best practices and lessons learned into system configuration and processes.
During a disaster response, leverage systems to collect, analyze, and disseminate data to inform response operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Understand computer software programs including data integration and modeling
Understand system oriented approach to develop solutions
Experience establishing partner collaborations
Experience defining, collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform objectives
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with emergency response operations
Project management experience

Working Conditions:
The typical office setting for this job is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. However, you may encounter some risks that are associated with any office setting, for example, the safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Standard Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This is a hybrid teleworking position but in-office work time may be required. All teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on DHHS needs and your ability to meet teleworking requirements.
Continued employment may be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
