Job Title: Office Specialist II

Job Description
Does the idea of working with the Oil, Gas and Mining field sound exciting to you? Here is your chance. This position will be the face of the Division through personal interaction with all visitors. Additional accounting responsibilities will also be required.

Principal Duties
As the Office specialist you will:

Greet visitors as they come into the Division and assist them with their various needs.
Answer phone calls through the main line and aid in directing the caller to the correct person.
Handle and process mail on a daily basis.
Process accounts payable financial documents in FINET for the division.
Receive and process telephone payments and checks received through the mail
Backup for review of payroll and leave to the state payroll system for Division Staff and Board Members.
Assist in purchasing office supplies for the Division

The ideal candidate for this position has:The ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely.
Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism.
The ability to switch from one task to the next and back is essential.
Knowledge of: State of Utah FINET, Payroll systems.
Microsoft Word & Excel computer skills

Working Conditions or Physical Requirements:

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
