The Office of the Governor is seeking an Innovation and Strategy Manager to join its team. This position plays a key role in driving innovative solutions to government processes, workflows, interfaces and communication. Working with the Chief Innovation Officer, you will challenge your analytical and entrepreneurial mindset by identifying and analyzing data, searching out root causes of critical issues and finding innovative “out of the box” solutions.

As the Innovation and Strategy Manager you’re always leading and learning. It’s never wrong to ask great questions! Each day will be unique and you’re the person who thrives in an ever changing environment. With your operational mindset–you take a thought and move it into results–forging new paths when you meet resistance. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Innovate, select and implement the frameworks, methodologies, and tools to optimize operational efficiency and improve processes
Work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to gather insights that shape strategy and measure the effectiveness of the strategies implemented
Consistently engage with strategic partners to keep them aware of initiatives as appropriate
Convene large groups of stakeholders to foster relationships, generate trust, instill confidence in others and help transform the system in which they are working
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as assessing the effectiveness of current processes and identifying opportunities for transformation
Execute on projects while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Administrative support (plan and organize meetings, scheduling, etc.)

Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and fast paced, ever changing environment
Exceptional analytical, research, and quantitative skills
Analytical thinker who can provide insight to facilitate decision making
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects and work flows at the same time
Process-oriented with structured problem-solving skills, and an ability to work cross-functionally
Experience using a variety of data sets to develop solutions
Experience launching widespread initiatives
