Do you have experience with the recruitment and selection process? Can you make decisions by analyzing data or information? The Utah Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) needs you as a Human Resources Analyst to join the Utah Department of Workforce Services HR Field Office (DWS) team and help us deliver high quality human resource services. You will work with management to provide solutions and expertise to their unique recruitment and classification needs that will aid in the success and furthering of their mission. This office needs a dedicated HR professional to support this important agency.

Requires in office days located at the Olene S. Walker Building at 140 East 300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 as arranged with the HR Field Director after initial training.

All candidates selected to fill vacancies at the Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) may be reassigned to other work locations within Salt Lake or Utah counties at any time based on business need. This recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies within DHRM.

Responsibilities
Principle Duties

Consult with assigned agency on recruitment and classification matters.
Draft, coordinate, and manage recruitment postings for agency divisions.

Consult with hiring officials on recruitment process including interviews, reference checks, and background checks.

Collect all interview documentation and file appropriately.

Process and maintain employee records for employment actions including terminations, promotions, transfers, administrative salary increases, etc.

Complete job analysis evaluations to ensure proper classification for positions.

Partner with leaders to execute creation of new roles to support the agency.

Interpret, clarify, explain and apply state and agency policy, procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations, etc.

Develop and provide recruitment and HR process related training to the agency.

Minimum Qualifications
Ideal Candidate

One-year related experience in recruitment or similar role.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage high volume traffic in the Human Resource Office coming from multiple sources.
Detail-oriented with the capability to analyze quantitative data.
Adaptable and agile to meet business needs
Ability to communicate effectively through a variety of methods
Self-directed with capacity to work independently.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
Experience with Google Drive applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc.).
Experience using NEOGOV as a recruitment system.
Current DHRM employees.
Supplemental Information
Employment is contingent on passing a background check.
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
DRHM rules apply to transfers.
