Full Job Description
Do you have a medical care background, an eye for detail, and strong leadership qualities? Well this position with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services may be just what you are looking for. Our Health Program Specialist III will be an integral member of the Utah Home Visiting staff, and will be relied upon to provide technical assistance, support, and monitoring of home visiting sites throughout the State of Utah. You will monitor and support several Local Implementation Agencies (local home visiting sites) throughout the state of Utah.
As a valued member of our team you will:
Establish and maintain relationships with Utah Home Visiting Local Implementation Agencies.
Perform site audits and monthly monitoring of Local Implementation Agencies across the State of Utah to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
Provide ongoing and regular technical assistance, training, and support to Local Implementation Agencies.
Compile and analyze data and content for reports for federal and state funding for home visiting.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our ideal candidate will have:Experience in data analysis and development of reports through Microsoft Excel or similar programs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience developing and conducting trainings
Experience providing technical assistance

The hiring manager may identify additional related skills and requirements as preferences in making hiring and promotion decisions.Experience with evidence-based Home Visiting programs, with a preference towards Parents as Teachers and Nurse Family Partnership
Experience implementing federal grants, including ensuring compliance with grant requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
Occasional in state, out of state, overnight and weekend travel may be required.
