General Maintenance Worker II
Do you enjoy trouble shooting, fixing repairs and feeling a sense of accomplishment in your job? If so, this may be the job for you! We are looking for a motivated individual who would like to contribute to making a difference in our facility.
Principal Duties
Mowing lawns & trimming trees/ bushes
Repairing and servicing lawn and ground equipment
Ordering parts and supplies
Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
Eliminating safety hazards
Performing preventative maintenance
Building, fabricating, or repairing structures or equipment
Cleaning and maintaining floors, windows, furniture, garbage etc.
Performing general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
Using and operating a variety of tools and equipment
Ideal Candidate
Enjoys working on a variety of projects
The Agency
The Department of Health and Human Services is dedicated to provide care for individuals and families in Utah. Utah Division of Juvenile Justice and Youth Services (JJYS) provides a continuum of intervention, supervision and rehabilitation programs to youth offenders while assuring public safety.
Supplemental Information
Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations, e.g. working at great heights, working in extreme outdoor weather conditions.
The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.
