The Division of Finance is looking for someone who is self-driven and motivated to help take our Finance Support Center to the next level! Our Finance Support Center supports approximately 1500 users of our internal software, including FINET. Because of this, we are looking for someone who has the ability to coordinate and help resolve issues, particularly focusing on assisting the Division of Finance staff. Principal Duties
As a Financial Analyst III, you will:

Act as a liaison between the various teams at the Division of Finance and the Finance Support Center, maintaining effective channels of communication between all parties.
Develop FINET knowledge base articles and other documentation for recurring issues.
Help create efficiencies within the Finance Support Center so that customers can be served in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure proper customer service to FINET users and Division staff
Serve as primary backup to the Support Center Coordinator.
Manage support tickets.
Work with the Support Center Coordinator and management to analyze reports in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Center and improve service.
Collaborate with the Training Supervisor to evaluate recurring Support Center issues to determine if further training is needed.

The Best Qualified Candidate
The perfect candidate for this position will have:Experience in a support center and/or help desk environment, with excellent customer service and people skills.
Experience with technology and software usage.
Experience in the accounting or finance industry.
Thorough technical writing skills to create written instructions and documentation.
Experience evaluating reports and analytics.

Additional Preferences
Additional points will be granted to applicants with:
Experience using the state’s FINET system (or Advantage Financial by CGI).
Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

The Division
The Division of Finance provides fiscal leadership and quality financial systems, processes, and information to state agencies and Utah residents. It promotes a culture of customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness, and expects a high degree of fiscal accountability for the taxpayer resources entrusted to the State.

The Financial Information Systems (FIS) team maintains the stability, accuracy, and security of state financial systems: FINET (centralized accounting system), State Data Warehouse, FINDER (tax refund offset system), and the Payment Tracking system (warehouse for processing bank payments). The Financial Information Systems team also provides financial data to state agencies and the Utah Public Finance (Transparency) website. Moreover, it provides training and support to financial information systems users.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
While this position is primarily a telework position, the individual working in this position must be a resident of Utah.
