Job Title: Financial Analyst I

Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in an accounting section and put your accounting skills to work? If so, the Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking a Financial Analyst I to help on our Fiscal/Admin (Accounts Payables team). If you are someone who is self-motivated and can work with work group supervision to perform professional level duties we want you to join our team.

Principal Duties
As the Financial Analyst I, you will:

assisting our PO# process/routing as specified
paying of those routed invoices, using our State Finet system
managing vendor accounts
entering of purchasing requisition
processing of vehicle registrations

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position has:at least 1 year of professional experience related to accounts payable (preferred)
knowledge of the State FINET system
Microsoft Office experience skills
self motivated
works well as a team member
attention to detail

possess excellent skills in teamwork and interaction
can evaluate information against a set of standards
ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
have advanced professional experience with Excel
use automated accounting and/or financial computer systems or other computer software
research methods, techniques, and/or sources of information
compose and produce reports, documents, and related material
fiscal/financial management
Preferred KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)principles, theories, and practices of accounts payable
find, gather and collect information or data, evaluate information against a set of standards
prepare financial reports and documentation.
make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives.
applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures
speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to and understand information and ideas as presented verbally

Supplemental Information

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
