Job Description:
We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated Energy Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis of energy markets, assessing the impacts of energy policies, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. In this role, you will engage in a diverse array of research activities encompassing energy development, economic analysis, market trends, and policy evaluation. Your work will directly influence our organization’s strategy, policy advocacy, and advancements within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

Conduct Market Research: Perform in-depth research on energy markets, including trends, forecasts, and competitive analysis.
Analyze Energy Policies: Evaluate the impacts of local, national, and international energy policies on the policies on the state’s energy mix and the broader industry.
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, process, and analyze large datasets related to energy production, consumption, pricing, and market dynamics.
Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and research papers that communicate complex findings a manner accessible to non-specialist audiences.
Support Strategic Decision-Making: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Monitor Industry Developments: Stay abreast of the latest developments, innovations,and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, external partners,and stakeholders to align research efforts with organizational goals.
Support Policy Advocacy: Support the organization’s policy advocacy efforts through evidence-based research and analysis.
Develop Research Methodologies: Design and implement robust research methodologies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of findings.
Present Findings: Present research findings to senior management, stakeholders, and at industry conferences and events.
Innovate Research Techniques: Continuously seek out and implement new research techniques and technologies to enhance research quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Studies, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Or related work experience.
Experience in energy research, analysis, or a related field.
Understanding of energy markets, policies, and technologies.
Ability to synthesize complex information and present clear, concise, and actionable insights to non-specialist audiences.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized research reports and presentations.
