Principal Duties
As an Office Specialist II, you will:
assist the public at the front counter
provide the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications
process a variety of agency documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness
exercise judgment in applying agency regulations, policies and procedures
provide outstanding customer service
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:
customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
cash handling and register reconciliation experience
work related experience handling of private and/or confidential information
experience with Excel spreadsheets
data entry skills
Requirements::
Must complete and pass a Level II background investigation which includes: extensive checks for criminal activity, illegal drug use and detailed employment, reference, credit, and education check
Preference(s):
may be given to current employees with the Utah Department of Public Safety

Supplemental Information
Starting hourly rate amount is $17.01
This position is a telework position and you will be required to establish an environment in your home conducive to performing the functions of your job while limiting access to others
This position is NOT eligible to receive the DLD uniform allowance
DHRM Rules apply to current state employees for promotions and transfers
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. .
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
