Full Job Description
The Utah State Library Division is looking to fill the position of a Digitization Technician. Under the supervision of the Library Resources Program Manager, the employee will prepare internal files and documents for digitization, perform scanning of files and documents, organize images on a local drive, as well as perform other project tasks as deemed necessary. They will also work closely with various employees to determine the best way to organize that employee’s files and documents. This position is a time limited (temporary) position with the employee working part time, between 15 and 20 hours per week for up to 4 months.
The incumbent will be able to:
Use scanning equipment to capture PDF documents of printed documents.
Use a personal computer, Microsoft Word, and Google Suite.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Read, write and speak English

The best person for this position is someone who has:Experience using Google Drive as well as Google and PDF documents.
Good organizational skills.

Knowledge of the following are typically associated with this job:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, and other Google products, including Mail and Meet.
Ability to work in a diverse team environment.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
