Move forward in your career by becoming a Lead Worker in Salt Lake Valley Region (SLVR) of DCFS. Currently, the Region is looking to fill a Lead Worker positions on the CPS team in the Metro office in SLC. Duties include assessing needs for children, youth and families, facilitating change, assisting the supervisor in mentoring team members and functionally supervising staff in the absence of the supervisor.
This recruitment will be used to fill Lead Worker vacancies that will open in the future within SLVR.

Pay starts at $30.56.

Principal Duties
As a Lead Worker you will:
Carry a reduced caseload as circumstances permit.
Prepare detailed case documentation including: intake records, investigation summaries, child and family assessments and/or service plans, risk assessments, social summaries, activity logs, and case histories.
Assist and/or mentor team members with coordinating services with the court, community partners, placement providers, and other collateral agencies as needed to support children and families receiving services.
Coach team members in assessing and documenting client needs and developing and implementing service plans to meet those needs.
Assist the Supervisor to provide consultation, case staffing, and in assessing needs for on-going agency involvement.
Providing input on performance evaluations and disciplinary actions occasionally.

Preference
Preference may be given to applicants having:
An active Social Service Worker or a higher, related license (Certified Social Worker, LCSW, etc.) with the State of Utah.
At least two years of DCFS casework experience.
