The Division of Facilities Construction & Management is seeking someone to provide and coordinate immediate support services to building residents and customers. If you have experience in audio/visual maintenance and troubleshooting and great customer service skills, we’re looking for you!
A new employee in this role will generally be hired above the middle of the pay range ($18.35 – $22.02/hr). HR rules will apply for promotions and transfers of current state employees.

The Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is dedicated to providing professional services to assist State entities in meeting their facility needs for the benefit of the public, and is the building manager for all State owned facilities.
Responsibilities
As the Building Support Specialist, you will:
Help maintain building access and security camera systems
Maintain and troubleshoot audio/visual and video recording systems
Facilitate event coordination, such as room scheduling and setup/teardown
Relocate equipment
Participate in space utilization and reconfiguration projects
In addition, you may:
Initiate facilities and IT work orders as needed
Coordinate with building security
Assist agencies with conferencing systems
Conduct program efficiency and equipment/facility utilization studies and recommend improvements
Utilize automated systems to generate reports and maintain administrative controls
Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
The best candidate for this position will have experience with:
Troubleshooting and maintenance of audio/visual systems
Customer service
Working on computers, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office and database management
Familiarity with podcast and video production systems
Taking direction from multiple people
Managing multiple assignments with varied deadlines
Excellent organization skills
Supplemental Information
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
This position is expected to lift and maintain audio/visual equipment, and set-up/teardown event spaces, and may assist maintenance crews as needed. This will require lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, crawling, walking, etc.
On-call or after-hours work may be required when events necessitate.
