ARLN Laboratory Coordinator
(Health Program Coordinator)
The Utah Public Health Laboratory is looking ARLN Laboratory Coordinator with a strong suit for data analysis to manage communications with client states and ensure that the surveillance of infectious diseases is being performed per ARLN (Antibiotic Resistance Laboratory Network) guidelines.
Responsibilities
Coordinate sample collection and shipment to UPHL; Oversee supplies shipments to client states
Perform outreach to states served by UPHL
Communicate updates and provide assistance/education to other HAI/AR and state laboratories
Manage external communications
Organize monthly state calls and one on one calls.
Organize the ARLN Regional Laboratory Meeting.
Conduct data analysis and draft reports for stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience working in the infectious diseases area of public health
Experience coordinating communications with multiple stakeholders
Experience in data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in epidemiology of infectious diseases and/or infection prevention
Experience in the field of Healthcare-Acquired Infections and Antibiotic Resistance/Stewardship
Experience working in, or in collaboration with, a CLIA regulated laboratory

Schedule:
This position is typically scheduled Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Working Environment:
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
