Job Title: Accounting Technician III

Job Description
Does the idea of working with the Oil, Gas and Mining field sound exciting to you? Here is your chance. This position will be the face of the Division through personal interaction with all visitors. Additional accounting responsibilities will also be required.

Principal Duties
As the Accounting Technician you will:

Greet visitors as they come into the Division and assist them with their needs.
Answer phone calls through the main line and aid in directing the caller to the correct person.
Process accounts payable financial documents in FINET for the division.
Be responsible for the preparation, data entry and deposits of all Accounts Receivable for the Division
Backup for review of payroll and leave to the state payroll system for Division Staff and Board Members.
Assist in purchasing office supplies for the Division

The ideal candidate for this position has:The ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely.
The ability to switch from one task to the next and back is essential.
Knowledge of: State of Utah FINET, Payroll systems.
Microsoft Word & Excel computer skills
Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism
Familiarity with state policies and procedures for accounts receivable and payable

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
