Do you have experience working with billing? Do you have a background with global/public health? The Office of Communicable Diseases seeks you as the Refugee Health Program Billing Specialist to coordinate refugee health services and billing for newly resettled refugees in Utah. As there is now an unprecedented number of refugees settling in Utah, the work that you provide is vital to meeting the needs of those that have been through recent tragedies in their homelands. You will work with nonprofits, local health departments, and healthcare providers to ensure eligibility for refugee health and tuberculosis services, process billings, and all other principal duties listed below. In order to be successful in this position experience providing consultation, technical assistance, or training to various groups is required. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Principal DutiesAs the Refugee Health Program Billing Specialist, you will: Review and determine services eligibility.Process refugee health screening, health promotion, mental health, and tuberculosis billings.Ensure proper programmatic and financial review of the billed services.Track program inventory.Provide administrative support as needed to the TB program.Assist with other refugee health tasks as needed.Maintain the high quality services provided to the general population.Ensure program adherence to both financial and contractual stipulation with national and local funding sources.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Working Conditions: The typical office setting for this job is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. However, you may encounter some risks that are associated with any office setting, for example, the safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.Standard Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pmThis position is eligible for hybrid telework. Also, all physical work for this position (teleworking or in-office) must be performed from within the State of Utah no-later-than 30 days from your start date. Physical Requirements: Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
