GLOBAL TALENT COORDINATORThe Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) envisions creating the world’s best economy and quality of life. The office accomplishes this by cultivating economic prosperity for businesses and communities in Utah. In support of this, the Center for Immigration and Integration provides resources related to New American integration and global talent pathways. Specifically, the UCII global talent initiatives assist individuals and businesses with tools, resources, and connections to foreign-born talent. The center seeks a part-time Global Talent Coordinator to support strategic global talent initiatives, including coordinating webinars, toolkits, resources, convenings, and events that bridge businesses with international talent in Utah and abroad. This position will typically work between 25 and 29 hours per week, with some flexibility on the weekly hours. It is a hybrid in-office and remote work position under the GOEO Business Services team. Principal DutiesCultivate internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders, including businesses, industry associations, nonprofit organizations, and local and state government. Research promising national practices and initiatives on global talent initiatives and skilled immigrant integration programs Develop content for webinars, toolkits and other resources for global talent initiativesSupport logistics for events and convenings related to global talentAssist in developing newsletter content and promotional materials related to global talent initiatives Coordinate with community partners and internal state agenciesAssist with planning and execution of other activities related to the Center for Immigration & IntegrationAssist with reporting and data collection efforts Other duties as assigned Ideal CandidateGeneral knowledge of immigration legal services and business immigration practices Experience working with immigrant and refugee populationsProject management experience, including working with deadlines and meeting deliverablesExcellent soft skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, and time managementSelf-motivated with the ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment in both a remote and in-person environmentCommunicate information and ideas clearly and conciselyDetail oriented without losing the ability to see the big pictureWorkflow management, from project request to completionStrong understanding of and commitment to effective processes and proceduresWorking knowledge of Google SuiteFamiliarity with video conferencing platforms (i.e. Zoom, Google Meets, WebEx, etc.)Bilingual in English and one of the top non-English languages in the state (Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Polynesian languages, or common refugee languages like Arabic)About the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic OpportunityThe Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) is based on Utah’s commitment to economic development statewide.
