The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) is seeking two program support specialists that will support the Center for Rural Development and the Broadband Center. The program support specialist is an administrative position that provides support to the Center’s director and staff. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, enjoy engaging with people and be a creative and proactive thinker. Principal DutiesServe as the frontline contact; provide office management, answer phones, and respond to constituent inquiriesSchedule, create agendas, and take minutes for in-person and virtual meetingsManage calendar for travel, special events, conferences, etc.Secure hotels, vehicles, and other travel arrangements for team membersSet up and facilitate Zoom meetings, special events, and conferencesAssist in the administration of grants by learning the details and speaking with clarity about grant opportunities offeredBe a team participant in the grant application process (reviewing, scoring, and awards)Analyze aspects of state and federal programsUtilize Salesforce to track key performance indicators, contact information, and other program informationCollaborate with other departments within Go Utah and work closely with other businesses, the public, and government officialsAssist with communications i.e. writing and editing emails, newsletters and other program and marketing materialsPerform other administrative duties as assignedIdeal CandidateAt least two years of administrative experience or relevant educationExperience in Microsoft Office and Google SuitesTechnical skills with virtual meetings and recordingsExcellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of or quick learner of CRM (Salesforce) Flexibility to balance long-range planning with occasional urgent requests and priority shiftsAbility to exercise a high degree of discretion and confidentialityCenter for BroadbandUtah is home to one of the youngest, most technologically savvy, and educated populations in the United States.
