EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assists the store manager with delegating work assignments, monitoring/reviewing quality of work, scheduling staff, providing technical assistance or training, and/or providing input on performance appraisal, hiring and discipline.Maintains account receivables, processes and accounts for payments and ensures accuracy of receipts and deposits.Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.Verifies that cash intake matches sales and inventory activity.Sets up and closes cash registers and prepares deposits.Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change and closes till at end of shift.Assists customers in finding products, making selections and purchasing items.Resolves potential confrontational issues appropriately when dealing with intoxicated individuals, shoplifters, etc.Helps ensure staff is trained to prohibit sales to minors.

Physical Requirements.Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
