WORK SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday 10:00 pm – 2:00 am
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs custodial tasks; performs a variety of duties related to the general cleaning and limited upkeep of buildings, and furnishings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Promotes and follows the city’s mission statement, values and expectations.
Performs custodial duties which may include but are not limited to the following:
Mops, strips, waxes and buffs floors
Cleans carpets
Vacuums and dusts
Cleans windows
Empties garbage cans
Cleans offices, restrooms, lobbies, locker rooms, etc.
Checks security of buildings and office spaces.
Performs basic general upkeep of city buildings; reports custodial equipment needing repair to assure efficient and safe operation.
Makes simple repairs such as the replacement of vacuum belts, light tubes, etc.; Clears and cleans simple drain obstructions; and performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
