Work a steady 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. job and experience a great family work life balance. The Office of Recovery Services in Taylorsville is looking for a dedicated person to work as a TORT Agent. The person in this position evaluates referrals, works to identify potentially liable third parties, and when to establish tort liability; ensuring the Utah State Medicaid program is the payer of last resort.
Principal Duties
The TORT Agent will need to be able to:
perform research
negotiate settlement of claims
work with recipients, attorneys, and insurance companies to pursue debts owed to the State of Utah
review Medicaid paid claims information

The model candidate for this position is someone who:
has a background in research
enjoys problem solving
has good attention to detail
can work with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of 2 years injury claims adjusting and/or legal experience.
