Operate specialized motor equipment, including heavy duty construction equipment
Heavy equipment operation may vary from power equipment (leveling, trenching, grading, and earth removal) to landscaping and sprinkler systems equipment
Perform maintenance tasks which can include: landscaping and maintaining lawn and planted foliage, and installation of irrigation and sprinkling systems
Snow Removal
Carpentry
May be subject to 24/7 emergency call out
This position is NOT public safety certified and does not require peace officer status or certification.
Entry salary will be $23.00. DHRM Rules will apply for current state employees and UDC Career Ladder guidelines will apply for current UDC employees.

Example of Duties
Coordinates projects and ensures adequate administrative controls, quality, and procedural efficiencies.
Operates, maintains, calibrates and adjusts specialized equipment.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, make adjustments, repairs and/or performs preventative maintenance on vehicles, equipment, or machinery, etc.
Maintains accurate records and logs.
Maintain sprinkler systems (repair, replace, install, etc.)
Grounds duties (weed control, trash control, etc.)
Typical Qualifications

maintain and/or repair tools and equipment
principles and practices of facilities operations, maintenance, and management
speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
arrange, coordinate, or schedule time and details
agency objectives, organization, structure and mission
run, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment
find, gather and collect information or data
operate applicable specialized equipment
establish, organize and/or maintain files
Supplemental Information
Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
valid driver license required to drive a motor vehicle on a highway in this state per UCA53-3-202(1)(a).
