Join us in shaping the future of Antelope Island State Park!Principal Duties: Oversee and direct all operations at Antelope Island State Park, ensuring alignment with Utah State Parks and the Department of Natural Resources’ goals and objectives.Lead, mentor, and support park staff, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance. Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of efficiency, safety, and visitor satisfaction throughout the park. Provide guidance to staff, assisting with the resolution of complex issues that may influence park policies and division strategies. Plan, assign, and directly supervise a dedicated team, fostering their development, recognizing their contributions, and solving problems at various levels. Manage the park’s operations budget, including resource allocation, financial planning, and monitoring expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility. Execute HR tasks such as hiring, disciplinary actions, staff development, and recognition. Develop, implement, and enforce park policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance within the park. Address and resolve complex issues or emergencies, ensuring effective response and recovery while minimizing impact on park operations and visitor experiences. Build and maintain partnerships with external organizations, businesses, and government agencies to support park programs and initiatives. Monitor and evaluate park performance, using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement and ensure the park’s success.Ideal Candidate: Dependability and self-motivation. Proven reliability with a strong ability to work independently and take proactive initiative. Expertise in supervising personnel, including hiring, delegating tasks, training, evaluating performance, and managing disciplinary actions effectively. Innovative thinking with a creative vision for opportunities for park enhancement and growth within potential budget constraints. Knowledge to solve problems efficiently to optimize state funds and improve park operations. • Expertise in managing large-scale budgets and accounting activities while providing accurate fiscal oversight. Willingness to participate in the comprehensive planning, design, construction, and upkeep of park facilities. Strong ability to liaise with law enforcement and allied agencies, ensuring clear and productive communication. Superior organizational skills and effective communication.
