The Public Service Commission of Utah is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill a Telecommunications Equipment Distributor position.This is a part-time position without benefits and requires the use of your own personal vehicle.Job DescriptionThe Telecommunications Equipment Distributor will be working for the Public Service Commission on the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program; which is a state-mandated program that provides telecommunications services, Relay Utah and specialized telephone equipment to persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, providing equal access to basic telephone service.Principal DutiesThis employee will report to the Commission Secretary and perform the following duties: Distributing, troubleshooting and repairing of specialized telecommunications equipment.Providing training to various consumer groups who meet eligibility criteria to receive specialized telephone equipment.The Ideal CandidateThe Ideal Candidate for this position is someone who: Has excellent customer service skills.Is organized.Has access to a personal vehicle.PreferencePreference may be given to applicants who speak Spanish and/or is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).The AgencyFor more information on the Public Service Commission of Utah please click here.DHRM rules regarding promotions and transfers apply to current state of Utah employees.
