Are you a maintenance supervisor looking for a new challenge? Can you get involved and get your hands dirty along-side your crew while maintaining a level of professional supervision? This opportunity to serve the State of Utah and its customers as a Maintenance Supervisor could be for you!

Principal Duties
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

Supervise subordinate personnel, including

Hiring.
Determining workload and delegating assignments.
Training.
Monitoring and evaluating performance.
Initiating corrective or disciplinary action.
Reviewing and inspecting work for quality and completeness.
Maintain accurate and detailed records.
Manage and coordinate projects.
Establish preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensure an adequate supply of materials.
Participate in the maintenance of facilities, including plumbing, electrical, heating & air conditioning, etc.

The Best Qualified Candidate
The best qualified candidate will have:
Several years of experience supervising a building/facility maintenance crew of 5 or more members.
Several years of hands-on building/facility maintenance experience, including building automation/energy management systems.

About Us
The Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is dedicated to providing professional services to assist State entities in meeting their facility needs for the benefit of the public, and is the building manager for all State owned facilities.
The Department of Government Operations provides support to, and enables other state agencies to fulfill their core missions.

Working Conditions: Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc.
Physical Requirements: Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
Must be available for on-call.
