As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships and guiding leads through our consultative sales process. It will be your job to cultivate strategic relationships with a district’s community, sharing best practices and serving as a trusted thought partner with school and district leaders. This role reports to the Vice President of School Partnerships (Sales) and is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and source potential leads in the education sector.
Engage with prospects to understand their specific needs and challenges.
Collaborate with the team to develop tailored solutions that address client requirements.
Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to deal closure, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Embrace the role of an educational consultant, prioritizing knowledge sharing and expertise over traditional sales tactics.
Guide customers through a consultative sales process, working towards achieving specific booking targets for both new and renewal contracts.
Establish and maintain trust with customers and prospects, upholding K12 Insight’s reputation for exceptional customer experiences.
Actively listen and learn from administrators, gaining insights into their challenges and opportunities.
Stay up-to-date with school district news and insider developments within your assigned territory, with a focus on issues such as school choice, strategic planning, and boundary changes.
Share relevant success stories of K12 Insight’s clients with administrators in your territory, showcasing the impact of our solutions.
Create and present comprehensive proposals for K12 Insight’s solutions, ensuring they align with the unique needs of each client.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in district-level sales of SaaS/technology products within the K-12 education sector, with a successful track record of enterprise-wide sales to Superintendents and IT departments.
Demonstrated trusted relationships at the cabinet level within school districts in your designated territory (Pacific Northwest and Mountain regions).
Proven ability to independently source leads and initiate new business opportunities.
Proficiency in effectively navigating conferences to build relationships and identify potential business opportunities.
A customer-focused approach, acting as an advocate for prospects and customers rather than a traditional salesperson.
A consistent record of outperforming expectations.
Experience working in a high-performing sales environment characterized by structured processes and a high level of accountability.
Experience in selling Workforce Management and/or IT Operations Software is a plus.

Location: This is a remote position with travel requirements. The primary territory for this role includes the Pacific Northwest and Mountain regions: Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. We will consider candidates residing in any of these states. The role requires approximately 35% travel. #Li-remote

The expected base pay salary range for this position is $100,000 – $130,000 / year with the opportunity to participate in the sales commission plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the base pay salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
