PLACE OF WORK:

Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants for an Engineering Technician for the Test Management Branch in the Special Programs Division on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as test control officer in the conduct of any of the major areas of testing and training projects, (i.e., chemical, biological, energetic, munitions, testbed design, unmanned air systems (UAS) and special access programs with responsibility for the direction of all testing/training activities in assigned areas to include safety of personnel, logistics and coordination test setup, execution and retrograde, data collection and responsibility of equipment and resources. Such projects are being made under actual or simulated conditions for the purpose of evaluation, standardization, and determination of developmental and operational data for further evaluation and development involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) technologies. Provides technical support, subject matter expertise, and is responsible for the allocation and management of resources required to successfully test execution of assigned test and train projects.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience for the GS-12: In order to be found qualified, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience: 1. Working in field testing and/or training environments involving chemical, biological, explosive, UAV or warfare defense operations. 2. Effectively manage a team demonstration excellent communication and leadership skills. 3. Previous experience in conducting detailed logistics and coordination of personnel, equipment, and test resource. 4. Assist in test and training programmatic and documentation processes, (i.e., risk assessments, briefings, environmental requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
